Clear aligners straighten teeth with a series of nearly invisible, removable trays. At Sander Orthodontic Arts in Andover, we use Angel Aligner, a clear aligner system Dr. Kristen Sander chooses for its precision and comfort. Every aligner plan is designed and monitored by an orthodontist, not shipped from a kit.
Who is a good candidate for clear aligners?
Many patients can choose aligners instead of braces. The real requirement is commitment: aligners only move teeth while they're in, so they need to be worn 20 to 22 hours a day, removed only to eat and brush. If that fits your life, aligners are a beautiful option.
Are Angel Aligners the same as Invisalign?
No. They're different brands of clear aligner. We don't offer Invisalign®. We offer Angel Aligner because it gives Dr. Sander the control she wants over how each tooth moves. If you've been researching Invisalign, most of what you've learned about clear aligner treatment still applies, and we're glad to compare the two at your consultation.
Can aligners fix my bite, or just straighten teeth?
Aligners can do more than straighten. With small attachments and elastics, they can help correct many bite concerns. Some complex cases are still better treated with braces. Dr. Sander will tell you which approach will give you the best result.
What's daily life like with aligners?
You remove them to eat, so there are no food restrictions. You brush and floss normally, then put them back in. Most patients switch to a new set on a schedule we'll set together.
